GAZA HOSPITALS IN DIRE CONDITIONS: AL-SHIFA HOSPITAL 'NOT FUNCTIONING AS A HOSPITAL
USA TODAY:
United Nations regional directors and World Health Organization said in a statement that more than half of Gaza’s hospitals are closed.
After losing communication with Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza's largest hospital, the WHO said Sunday that it was able to restore communications with staff at the hospital. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called the situation "dire and perilous."
"It's been 3 days without electricity, without water, and with very poor internet which has severely impacted our ability to provide essential care," Ghebreyesus said on X, formerly Twitter. "Regrettably, the hospital is not functioning as a hospital anymore."
Ghebreyesus added that patient fatalities have increased significantly. The area around Al-Shifa Hospital has been under "constant gunfire and bombings," according to Ghebreyesus.
TWR: It’s important to note that there is indeed fuel being delivered to the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
According to published reports, that fuel is being used to power the underground Headquarters of Hamas, which according to the IDF, is located directly beneath the hospital.
NETANYAHU REJECTS US PLAN FOR POSTWAR GAZA
USA TODAY:
Netanyahu has firmly rejected the Biden administration's vision for postwar Gaza, saying the Palestinian Authority that now administers the West Bank will not assume governance over the war-battered enclave. Israel will retain overall security control and retain the right to attack any "terrorists who may pop up again," Netanyahu said Saturday.
Netanyahu, who credited the Israeli attack on Gaza for pushing Hamas closer to a deal to free hostages, vowed not to "cave" to global pressure to cede control of Gaza to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
“There will ... not be a civil authority that educates its children to hate Israel, to kill Israelis, to eliminate the State of Israel," Netanyahu said. “There cannot be an authority whose leader still has not condemned the terrible massacre 30 days later."
NETANYAHU DISCUSSES A PALESTINIAN FUTURE WITHOUT HAMAS
FOX NEWS:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday vowed that Israeli forces must "destroy Hamas" in order to secure the future of Palestinians as well as the Jewish state.
"If you want peace, destroy Hamas. If you want security, destroy Hamas. If you want a future for Israel, the Palestinians, the Middle East, destroy Hamas," Netanyahu told "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker during an appearance on the NBC Sunday program.
"We're absolutely intent on achieving it. And what I can tell you, [Kristen], is given the extraordinary performance of the Israeli army in the last few days, the last few weeks, we're going to achieve it.
We'll do it with as few civilian casualties as we can and with maximum casualties on the Hamas terrorists, which we are achieving day by day, hour by hour, will complete the task."
Vowing that the goal is to minimize civilian casualties, Netanyahu said he has not set a deadline for defeating Hamas, but he predicted the task would not take many years and would take less time than it took the United States and the international coalition to defeat ISIS or to defeat al Qaeda.
TWR: Brilliant, Clear-Eyed, Objective statements of intent from the Prime Minister of the Israeli Government….
The entire World must stand down from cease-fire calls until the grim work of the total annihilation of Hamas is complete.
‘MEIN KAMPF’ FOUND IN HAMAS TERROR HOME
FOX NEWS:
Israeli officials said on Sunday that members of their military found an Arabic copy of Adolf Hitler’s "Mein Kampf" in a children’s room, which was used as a base by Hamas terrorists in northern Gaza over the weekend.
In a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Israel said the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) found the copy of Hitler’s antisemitic work in a room used by Hamas as a terrorism hub.
"The terrorist highlighted portions of the book and included his own notes," the post read. "It starts with words. It ends with Jewish blood in the streets."
Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke about the discovery in an interview with the BBC on Sunday, holding up the book for inspection.
"The terrorist wrote notes, marked the sections and studied again and again, Adolf Hitler’s ideology to hate the Jews, to kill the Jews, to burn and slaughter Jews wherever they are. This is the real war we are facing," Herzog added.
TWR: To NAZIs of all nations…
The Jews get to live in peace & safety in their ancestral home.
Anyone who attempts to destroy Israel, or the Jews will face, then receive deserved obliteration.
LEFTIST FORCES PRESSURING NEWSROOMS OVER COVERAGE OF WAR
FOX NEWS:
The latest chapter of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has aroused passions around the country, and now it's cropping up in newsrooms with staffers and activists putting leftward pressure on outlets to cover the Jewish state far more critically.
Israel declared war on Hamas after the terror group invaded southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing over 1,200 people in Israeli border towns, mostly civilians.
Hamas also took more than 200 hostages, and Israel has pounded Gaza in the weeks since, leading to accusations in an open letter signed by hundreds of former and current journalists that Israel is engaged in "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing."
"We are renewing the call for journalists to tell the full truth without fear or favor," the letter states. "To use precise terms that are well-defined by international human rights organizations, including ‘apartheid,’ ‘ethnic cleansing’ and ‘genocide.’
To recognize that contorting our words to hide evidence of war crimes or Israel’s oppression of Palestinians is journalistic malpractice and an abdication of moral clarity."
The letter, which said Israel was guilty of "atrocities," also noted the dozens of journalists who have been killed in the war. It made just one mention of Hamas and complained that the war was improperly contextualized, despite being initiated by Hamas' devastating terrorist attack.

2024 ELECTION:
SENATOR TIM SCOTT SUSPENDS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
FOX NEWS:
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott announced he is suspending his 2024 presidential campaign in an appearance on Fox News' "Sunday Night in America" with Trey Gowdy.
"I think the voters, who are the most remarkable people on the planet, have been really clear that they’re telling me, ‘Not now, Tim,’" Scott said.
In addition to ending his campaign, the senator emphasized he has no plans to endorse another candidate in the race for the Republican nomination.
"The best way for me to be helpful is to not weigh in," he said.
Scott also gave a thumbs down to the idea that he could serve as the nominee's running mate on the Republican Party's 2024 national ticket.
"Being vice president has never been on my to-do list," he said.
The news was a surprise to some of the senator's staff as a handful of campaign aides confirmed to Fox News that they were not given a heads-up on Scott's decision ahead of his live appearance Sunday night. But the senator did hold an all-staff call following his interview on the Fox News Channel.
TWR: Senator Scott, a true Reagan Conservative, provided a positive, upbeat, True Vision of this Nation.
While this turbulent time may have caused him to stand down for now, I see National Leadership of this Great Nation in his very bright political future.
MINNESOTA REP ILHAN OMAR GETS PRIMARY OPPONENT
USA TODAY:
U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar got a prominent Democratic primary challenger Sunday when former Minneapolis City Council member Don Samuels announced he’ll try once again to unseat her after coming close in 2022.
Omar, a charter member of “the squad” of progressive House Democrats, won reelection twice despite making comments in her first term that were widely criticized for invoking antisemitic tropes and suggesting Jewish Americans have divided loyalties. But Omar — a Somali American and Muslim — has come under renewed fire for condemning the Israeli government’s handling of its war against Hamas.
“Our congresswoman has a predilection to divisiveness and conflict,” Samuels said in an interview with The Associated Press ahead of his official announcement Sunday morning on WCCO Radio.
TWR: This woman has no business representing anyone within a civilized society, let alone the Minnesota 5th Congressional District.
Her Savage Anti-Jewish Bigotry and her Cynical Minimizing of the 9-Eleven Attacks, disqualifies her from the Office she infests.
TRUMP:
ALINA HABBA CALLS FOR CASE DISMISSAL BY NY AG LETITIA JAMES
FOX NEWS:
Trump attorney Alina Habba joined "Sunday Morning Futures" with host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday to discuss the latest on the former president's civil fraud trial in New York and argued New York Attorney General Letitia James should dismiss the case.
Habba told Bartiromo that she would be filing for a mistrial but said the judge was the same judge who issued a gag order.
"These accusations that he overvalued assets what kind of third party people did you have or did Donald Trump have in terms of doing their own evaluation because, I mean, when you — go to get deals you have to get auditors to okay the valuations that you put in, right? Did you have auditors to do that?" Bartiromo asked.
Habba said Trump had an accounting firm put together a compilation and added that the lenders he worked with were "sophisticated lenders," such as Deutsche Bank.
TWR: After the inevitable harsh reversal of this outrageous abuse of United States juris prudence on appeal, it is my hope that anyone involved in this sorry affair immediately obtain their not just well-earned disbarment…But also, the societal scorn they so richly deserve.

HOUSE SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON UNVEILS 2-STEP FUNDING STOPGAP
CBS NEWS:
House Speaker Mike Johnson unveiled his proposal on Saturday to avoid a partial government shutdown by extending government funding for some agencies and programs until Jan. 19, and continuing funding for others until Feb. 2.
The approach is unusual for a stopgap spending bill. Usually, lawmakers extend funding until a certain date for all programs. Johnson decided to go with the combination approach, addressing concerns from GOP lawmakers seeking to avoid being presented with a massive spending bill just before the holidays.
"This two-step continuing resolution is a necessary bill to place House Republicans in the best position to fight for conservative victories," Johnson said in a statement after speaking with GOP lawmakers in an afternoon conference call. "The bill will stop the absurd holiday-season omnibus tradition of massive, loaded up spending bills introduced right before the Christmas recess."
The bill excludes funding requested by President Biden for Israel, Ukraine and the U.S. border with Mexico. Johnson said separating Biden's request for an emergency supplemental bill from the temporary, stopgap measure "places our conference in the best position to fight for fiscal responsibility, oversight over Ukraine aid, and meaningful policy changes at our Southern border."
TWR: Speaker Johnson inherited a Budgetary mess…This two-step plan is about the only way to move forward at this moment.
It should be passed, without intrigue, sabotage or delay.
There will be time next year to drop the gloves again…Which should happen…
