GEORGIA D.A. UPSET WITH US HOUSE INQUIRY
USA TODAY:
A Georgia prosecutor fired back at a U.S. House inquiry into her investigation of Donald Trump by arguing the goal was to “advance outrageous partisan misrepresentations” and was “flagrantly at odds with the Constitution.”
“Your letter makes clear that you lack a basic understanding of the law, its practice and the ethical obligations of attorneys generally and prosecutors specifically,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis wrote Thursday to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.
Willis secured a racketeering indictment of Trump and 18 co-defendants for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election. Each of the defendants has pleaded not guilty.
Jordan wrote to Willis on Aug. 24 asking for documentation of her investigation.
Jordan also asked about communications with Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith, who is prosecuting Trump for election conspiracy charges. Jordan questioned whether Willis’s motivation for the indictment was political and whether she was coordinating with Smith.
TWR: For Fani Willis to castigate Jim Jordan, R-OH for “outrageous partisan misrepresentations” that are “flagrantly at odds with the Constitution” is the absolute pinnacle of brass.
Further, if there’s a linkage between Willis and Special Counsel Jack Smith…That would close the book on the depth of this unprecedented, malign, political conspiracy.
TRUMP ADVISOR PETER NAVARRO CONVICTED OF CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS
USA TODAY:
Peter Navarro, a trade adviser to former President Donald Trump, was convicted Thursday of two misdemeanor counts of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena.
The House committee that investigated the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021, subpoenaed Navarro for testimony and documents about strategies to overturn the 2020 election. But Navarro defied the subpoena, arguing he was protected by executive privilege, to keep communications with Trump confidential.
U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta had rejected Navarro's request to dismiss the charges, ruling he couldn't document Trump himself had invoked executive privilege. Mehta scheduled sentencing for Jan. 12.
“Peter Navarro made a choice. He chose not abide by the congressional subpoena,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Aloi said. “The defendant chose allegiance to former President Donald Trump over compliance to the subpoena.”
TWR: This case is still more evidence of the Left’s shortsighted, “to hell with the consequences” approach to disqualifying Donald Trump from the 2024 Election.
The attempt here is to punish anyone who aided and abetted former President Trump at any level, at any time.
With the original subpoena, the Jan 6th Committee set up a scenario where the customary Executive Privilege afforded to Presidents could be, in an unprecedented fashion, set aside to compel testimony about private communications between a President and as Advisor.
This nasty, pernicious tactic now sets a precedent that will visit itself upon President Biden when he leaves office.
What these political sociopaths, of both parties, forget is that while they abuse each other, they torture We the People with their pathological gamesmanship.
BIDEN ADMINISTRATION CONSIDERING A PLAN TO FORCE MIGRANTS TO STAY IN TEXAS
FOX NEWS:
The Biden administration is considering forcing migrants who cross into the United States illegally to remain in Texas while they wait out their asylum screening.
Administration officials cite the proposed plan as a way to curb the flow of illegal immigrants at the southern border, The Los Angeles Times reported, citing three U.S. officials not authorized to discuss the matter.
Texas has operated a bussing program to transport migrants to so-called "sanctuary cities" like Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles, in an effort to provide relief to border towns.
Governor Greg Abbott said, “Texas has bused over 35,000 migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities," he wrote Tuesday on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. "Over 11,300 to D.C., over 13,300 to NYC, over 6,700 to Chicago, over 2,600 to Philadelphia, over 1,000 to Denver, over 480 to LA.”
Abbott argues that Texas cities have carried the weight of illegal immigration and that "sanctuary cities" need to begin sharing the burden.
TWR: Simple words from a Texan…
“You political fools created this mess…Don’t get in our way while we clean it up.”
CHICAGO’S O’HARE AIRPORT NOW A HOMELESS SHELTER
FOX NEWS:
Chicago leaders are facing backlash over hundreds of migrants being housed at O'Hare International Airport, one of the nation's busiest airports.
More than 400 migrants are reportedly being housed in a section of the airport, hidden from public view behind black curtains, up from 31 at the beginning of August.
The airport is one of only 18 migrant shelters in Chicago and that homeless Americans are no longer allowed to stay at the airport.
The city previously struggled with an influx of homeless people at the airport but initiated a crackdown earlier this year after then-Mayor Lori Lightfoot faced criticism.
"Mayor Johnson campaigned as the people's mayor. Sadly, the people are telling me that he's the migrants' mayor," said Chicago News Reporter William Kelly.
TWR: These “Chicago Leaders” have no one to blame but themselves.
They made the “brave” virtue-signaling promise of offering “sanctuary” to illegals who have violated Federal Law.
Reality has come calling. Finally.

JUDGE RULES AZ USED ILLEGAL SIGNATURE-VERIFICATION METHODS IN ELECTIONS
NATIONAL PULSE:
A state court has ruled that the Arizona Secretary of State used illegal signature-verification methods in the state’s prior two elections.
The Superior Court for the County of Yavapai ruled that the Secretary, in permitting signature verification with documents that have no relation to the act of registering, “contradict[ed] the plain language” of the law.
In the decision, Judge John Napper wrote that the Arizona election “statute is clear and unambiguous” while adding, “…the legislature intended for the recorder to attempt to match the signature on the outside of the envelope to the signature on the documents the putative voter used to register.”
By not specifically matching ballot signatures with voter registration documents, the Arizona Secretary of State acted in violation of the law.
TWR: And so, the former Arizona Secretary of State for the last 2 elections is who? That’s right, Governor Katie Hobbs.
She’s just been found guilty of violating Arizona Election Laws during an election that made her the Governor.
So when will the Arizona House of Representatives begin Impeachment Proceedings?
NEW YORK JUDGE RULES IN FAVOR OF TEACHERS FIRED FOR REFUSING SHOT
FOX NEWS:
A New York judge said Wednesday that 10 employees fired by the New York City Department of Education for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine must be reinstated with back pay.
In a major victory for vaccine mandate opponents, State Supreme Court Judge Ralph J. Porzio held that the city's denials of religious accommodation to certain employees were unlawful, arbitrary and capricious.
"This Court sees no rational basis for not allowing unvaccinated classroom teachers in amongst an admitted population of primarily unvaccinated students," Porzio wrote in a 22-page opinion.
"As such, the decision to summarily deny the classroom teachers amongst the Panel Petitioners based on an undue hardship, without any further evidence of individualized analysis, is arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable.”
TWR: The COVID game is finally unraveling…Teachers who lost their jobs over their refusal to take the ineffective COVID Vaccine, now regain their jobs, and lost paychecks.
Good.
The Lesson here for the New York Department of Education is:
Fascism sure can be expensive.

DEMOCRAT PARTY LEADER, DEFUNDING POLICE ADVOCATE, CARJACKED & BEATEN
FOX NEWS:
A Democratic Party leader thanked the Minneapolis police and pushed to prosecute youths "running wild" after she was carjacked Tuesday, despite previous support for dismantling the department.
Shivanthi Sathanandan, the 2nd Vice Chairwoman for the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, posted on Facebook Wednesday that she was "violently carjacked" by "four very young men, all carrying guns."
She said they assaulted her in front her children outside their home in broad daylight. She also included a photo of her head injuries and reported having a "broken leg, deep lacerations on my head, bruising and cuts" around her body as well as feeling "rage" against the lack of accountability against criminals.
"These men knew what they were doing. I have NO DOUBT they have done this before. Yet they are still on OUR STREETS. Killing mothers. Giving babies psychological trauma that a lifetime of therapy cannot erase. With no hesitation and no remorse," Sathanandan wrote.
She continued, "We need to catch these young people who are running wild creating chaos across our city and HOLD THEM IN CUSTODY AND PROSECUTE THEM. PERIOD."
TWR: Shakespeare, in his 1606 play Antony and Cleopatra…
In her speech at the end of Act One: Cleopatra regrets her youthful dalliances with Julius Caesar she says, "...My salad days, / When I was green in judgment, cold in blood/To say as I said then!"

LIBERTY GUN SAFE COMPANY PLAYS BALL WITH FBI
FOX BIZ:
Popular gun safe company Liberty Safe is facing intense backlash after providing the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the password to a customer's safe at the law enforcement agency's request, and conservative influencers are now calling for boycotting the brand.
Outrage against the Utah-based safe manufacturer began Monday after conservative commentators Keith and Kevin Hodge, known as the Hodge Twins, posted the revelation on X.
"Last week, a friend of ours was raided by the feds over J6, his name is Nathan Hughes and he’s from Fayetteville, Arkansas," the post reads, which notes in the report that "The feds called the manufacturer of his Liberty Gun Safe and got the passcode to get into it too. All for protesting at the Capitol over 2 1/2 years ago."
Nathan Hughes himself confirmed the story the next day, saying in a video posted on X that Liberty Safe gave the FBI "a master code to get into my gun safe." He added, "Pretty crazy, didn't know safe companies would do that, so I feel like a lot of our gun safes are not actually safe."
Liberty Safe admitted in a statement Tuesday that it gave the FBI the access code to the safe of an individual for whom the FBI had a warrant to search their property after receiving the agency's request on Aug. 30.
TWR: How dare does Liberty Safe Company even possess master access codes to their products?
Not that I care about their feelings, but I’m sure the C-Suite Ding-Dongs of Liberty Safe are commiserating over a few Bud Lights.
NEW JERSEY TOWN TAPS A.I. TO DETECT GUNS
ABC NEWS:
The Ocean City School District in New Jersey, as well as the city's boardwalk, have implemented new technology developed by ZeroEyes, a company that says it uses AI, paired with human experts, to scan camera feeds for guns.
"I don't think anybody should question or be fearful of an artificial intelligence program that's going to identify an immediate imminent threat of someone being shot or killed. You can't put a price tag on saving a life," Jay Prettyman, the police chief in Ocean City, told ABC News.
Prettyman said that AI gun detection could also serve as a deterrent from possible crime.
"If we can put something in the place that we can advertise about – that can scare people from coming to Ocean City and coming to any of our schools, and we can push evil off to another day – that's what I think is our responsibility to do for our kids every day," Prettyman said.
TWR: Isn’t it fascinating?
We the People of the United States of America…Never more than a few keystrokes away from reading the Text of the Bill of Rights, have become so numb to the Surveillance State, that those shredding the 4thAmendment for the sake of totalitarian police overwatch now brag about their Unconstitutional Crimes in the Media!!
“You can't put a price tag on saving a life,” Jay Prettyman, the police chief in Ocean City, New Jersey…
You also can’t put a price tag on the sudden, bewildered realization that we allowed these smiling Socialists to destroy the greatest Nation in the History of the Human Endeavor…
…In plain sight.

COCO GAUFF REACHES US OPEN WOMEN’S FINALS, VICTORY FOLLOWS PROTEST
USA TODAY:
Coco Gauff, the tournament’s No. 6 seed, reached her first US Open final after beating No. 10 Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic on Thursday night, 6-4, 7-5.
"It was a tough match," Gauff said. "It was a lot of emotional challenges in the match but I think I did a good job of staying focused and I'm really proud of myself today."
Gauff to survive a potential momentum-killing delay early in the second set that stretched for 49 minutes when four environmental protesters began yelling from the upper deck.
Though police were able to quickly remove three of them, one had glued their feet to the floor, necessitating an entire team of security to handle the disturbance.
TWR: Congratulations to Coco Gauff!! Now go win the Tournament!!
Oh, and to the melodramatic environmentalists who got in the way…Please do glue yourselves to the nearest garbage truck…So you can be close to moronic movement’s vestibule of what passes for cogent thought in your movement…

‘THE LONG GOODBYE’ FOR THE EAGLES, LAST TOUR BEGINS
USA TODAY:
The opening concert of what they’ve deemed their last tour – aptly dubbed The Long Goodbye and expected to run into 2025 – the Eagles, anchored by founding member Don Henley and the long-tenured Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit served two hours of hits last night at Madison Square Garden.
Endings are inevitable, but the Eagles are wrapping their five-decade career with a lengthy spin around the country and a generous 23-song setlist that lulled for the first hour and rocked through the second.
Henley, Walsh and Schmit, joined by recent tour guests Vince Gill and Deacon Frey – son of the late Eagles legend Glenn – and ace guitarist Steuart Smith, paid tribute to Jimmy Buffett.
“He’s now sailing on that cosmic ocean and having that cheeseburger with Glenn and Randy,” Henley said. “Jimmy made work look like play. He brought joy to everything he did and one of his final wishes was we keep the party going.”
TWR: The Eagles…Perhaps the Greatest Rock Band in History…Gliding “…slowly ‘cross the sky…” one last time.
Nice touch from Don Henley to say goodbye to his old friend Jimmy Buffett.
We still have time to see them…But not too much.
STAR TREK DEBUTS ON THIS DATE, 1966
FOX:
The world first met Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock on this day in history, Sept. 8, 1966, with the premiere of the television series "Star Trek."
The series' first episode, "The Man Trap," was actually the sixth episode produced, said the website IMDB.
The first pilot produced, "The Cage," was nixed as it was considered "too cerebral" for NBC's audiences, said IMDB.
"The Cage" would not see a wide release until Oct. 14, 1986.
Conversely, "The Man Trap" had a monster and "more action" than the other five episodes, said IMDB, which NBC thought would be more appealing to audiences.
While "Star Trek" is now a cultural phenomenon with scores of dedicated "Trekkies," the first iteration of "Star Trek" was not nearly as commercially successful.
The show, which is now referred to as "Star Trek: The Original Series," was canceled after just three seasons and 79 episodes.
TWR: Very few television series are successful…Even fewer of those are referred to as “Hits”.
But there is only one that has truly changed all of us…Star Trek.
An artistic, idealistic, morality play every week…Brilliantly written, filmed and acted.
The show taught all of us how we could reach out to each other…Gave us the ideas for technology we now use every day…Ignited our instincts to explore our world, our Universe, ourselves.
